When I was in high school and got my first job my mother introduced me to my first, "Budget Book." It was bound and filled with envelopes labels for different spendings. I used it FOREVER. I was so good with money back then. Half of every check I ever received went into savings. Until the fateful day I was shown how one transferred money from checking to savings at an ATM. Yes, it was a naive moment of mine but looking back probably safer.
As Adam and I begin saving for Law School, and Baby Dos, I am always looking for new ways to save money and be thrifty. This week Adam is trying to show me his world of Paperless Budgeting. I must say I am intrigued, mostly because of the color coding. But I worry. My green notebook will just sit. I like knowing all about the money and where it goes, but Adam likes not using my notebook. (Side note: once he wrote in it in PEN! I cried.)
So Paperless budgets? I think the only thing that will get me on board is the color coding, I mean its just like a highlighter, and I love those too!
